How To Defeat Your Fears

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Fear must be faced and defeated by those who desire success. If you desire to reach the goals you have set for yourself, you have began a process which leads to success, however you may define it. But, planning is not sufficient to guarantee victory. There must be constant pursuit of the goals, day by day, step by step, with a mind-set and determination that you will not give up, you will not let up, you will not quit until you have accomplished what you set out to do and attained what you are seeking. While there will be challenges and obstacles along the way, one of the greatest inhibitors of mankind is an evil thing, a force called fear. Its opposite is another spiritual force called faith, which has the potential and ability to defeat its counterpart, when applied to our lives. Faith will always overcome fear.

Fear is a force, because it causes the person who permits it to stop in the pursuit of the goals. Fear will make cowards out of potential champions and makes weaklings out of those who do not realize their God-given strength to overcome any adversity.

People succumb to the spirit of fear and back off from the pursuit of their purpose. Afraid of that which is seemingly real, yet unreal because it is not based in truth, they procrastinate and put things off, thinking that the things perceived as problems which can arise are issues which they cannot ignore or resolve.

Yet, there are those who, amidst the appearance of identical fears, push past those emotions of terror and conquer the giant which tries to intimidate the senses. The motto of these champions is simple: There will be no retreat and there will be no surrender.

To win in life you must realize that fears will come. Feelings of lack of ability and lack of resources, emotions of tension and stress because of the situations which stare you in the face, feelings of shame if the goal is not realized causing apprehension and dismay, will reveal themselves and you must be able to get past them, with the stubborn resolve that you are not quitting and you will see your goals through.

Here are five tips to conquering your fears:

1. Realize that feelings of fear will come, but you do not have to yield to them. Clouds of doubts will arise and try to hide the glory of the goals and dreams before you. But you have to hold your dream and purpose steadfastly and make up your mind that fear will not stop you from reaching your desired haven.

2. Faith will defeat fear at all times and in all things. So you must believe in your purpose and dream.

3. You can produce and strengthen your faith in your dreams, by confessing and affirming positive words to yourself over and over again. Words paint pictures. Words can lift you up or bring you down. Words can make you or break you. So learn how to speak positively. This in itself will take practice, lots of it, until you become perfected and matured in the art of speaking positive words, for the purpose of inducing faith within your heart, to overcome fears.

4. The greatest kind of words you can speak is God's Word (the BIBLE). Find a few Scriptures which you can use to speak to yourself every morning and evening, until they become alive within you and faith arises and pushes the doubts and fears out. Some you can use are 2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 4:13 and Isaiah 41:10. These are some of my favorites.

5. Regardless of how you feel, keep taking action in the pursuit of your goals. Never, ever give up and never quit. Keep at it until fear realizes that you are not going to be hindered or deterred.

If you keep acting on your plans, goals and dreams, with the determination that you will have what you want, in the Will of God, you are bound to have all of the success you seek.

How To Find The Key to Free Yourself, Fulfill Your Dreams And Become Wealthy

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Money is essential-there's no doubt about that and if you haven't got any, wanting some can drive you NUTS! Think for just for a moment and imagine if you did have money, lots of it. Imagine if you were rich, not by chance, not by a one time lucky win, but by learning something that could change your life forever.

People for one reason or another become dis-empowered, they lose sight of their dreams and begin to believe that they are not possible. Through a combination of a lifetime's conditioning and people who have influenced us and our current financial and social status, we just give up. Things become too difficult, in fact they appear to be impossible, but the key word is 'appear'.

When things appear to be impossible, it is for many complicated unconscious as well as conscious reasons, that we actually see something as unachievable or unattainable, and we start to feel disappointment even before failure arrives by projecting into the future in our mind's eye exactly how we see things going wrong.

In order to change this there needs to be a conscious shift in focus, which will then result in being able to see things differently, and then to act on that shift. To 'see' that you can't do something will result in not being able to do it, but to see that you can, will result in achieving it. If you think that's too simplistic and easy to say, and that your circumstances are truly different, ask yourself, what is in your heart, and why haven't you done it yet, then see your limits and reasons why you have created your own prison, seemingly through no fault of your own. It's true you are not to blame, whatever holds you back, you have learnt, and all you need to do to change anything, is to re-learn. By learning a new set of life-skills that will truly empower you, you will lift yourself out of the trap you may be in, so that you are back in the driving seat, the way you were always meant to be.

No-one ever achieved anything by contemplating fear, yet this is one of the emotions that really does completely rule our lives, and in every area of our lives. Most people live a life of low-level stress which they learn to counterbalance in various ways, hoping to offset the internal dialogue that is telling them things are not all as they would like them to be.

The way to change this, is to learn a new way of communicating with your inner dialogue, through self-empowerment. How?, then becomes the question, and the answer is, by allowing yourself the freedom of mind to change what you've come to believe, and let people who know how, show you the way. It is a journey, and it's amazingly easy when you follow your heart. The rewards are worth every step and your dreams will come true, and your life will transform.

If Only You Had A Manual You Would Be Rich - Power Of Your Mind!

Posted by on | | 0 comments

As a kid, you might have wished you had a genie that could bring riches to you whenever you wanted. Now that you are old and know that it is not possible, you go hunting for the manual of riches. You are ready to explore and do whatever it takes to be rich. Richness and poor is determinant of the society and your inner self. You can be rich if you think you are rich. The manual of becoming rich lies within you. To make yourself enlightened with the tricks you have to follow, you hunt the markets, bookstores and what not. This is one exciting thing about our mind. We can increase our power of the mind. There are rules and conditions to reach the height of greatness and achieve success. Here are some of the rules that will help you with the power of your mind.

Power Of Your Mind

? You see what your mind perceives- The purpose of seeing things is to analyze and make use of what you analyze. You can describe everything you see around you as good, bad, ugly, beautiful etc. Every emotion, outcry, feeling that you express or feel is a reflection of your mind. The human brain has a vast memory to store. To make the best use of the brain and control your mind, you need to see things in an optimistic manner. To stabilize the mind, you have to keep your mind open to all possibilities and opt for the right one.

? Health and exercise- Health is the most important thing when it comes to thinking. A healthy person can always think better things to do. You will be fresh to take up any task if you are healthy. Our mind works twenty-four hours a day with many things running in it. Meditation is one exercise that can relax the mind and enhance its capacity of perceiving things as they are. You can meditate at any part of the day. You can also indulge in doing things, which relive your stress. Always give 30 minutes of your daily time to yours. Sports and games also help you develop your mind.

? Think Positively- Thinking positively does not come in a day or two, neither is it tough to think positively. Think you can and you can rule the world. Mind always tries to support what you think and perceives what you think. So thinking positively makes your mind work in a positive manner. For instance, if you think you cannot complete a task in a given time, you feel it tough to work and by the time, you finish it you feel stressed. You might finish it on time, but still it took more energy to do it. If you do the same task thinking you can do it, the work becomes easy. This also helps you to take up similar tasks and you do it well.

? Belief and expectation- Always have belief in yourself. It really helps you to make you expect more from what you have performed before. If you expect to become rich, start believing that you are rich. This helps you take up new challenges and work harder to achieve it. This stabilizes and relinquishes your thoughts for the next level. Feeling good for yourself always leads you to a better understanding of your mind.

? Experience - It is always good to experience good things, so is good thoughts. Always enjoy your good experiences and share those thoughts to yourself. This allows your mind to think positively and have belief in your abilities. Never doubt your abilities and skills as this leads to negative thoughts in your brain.

Achieving Greatness

Excuses, procrastination and too much analysis lead a man away from greatness. Leaving these three reasons is a major task. Achieving greatness is all people want and many do not apply things to make them great. A perfect analysis might go wrong if you are not good at applying your mind to make it successful.

Greatness lies with people who are able to control their minds from evil thoughts and know the rules to succeed.

? Follow - always have a role model. Think whom you want to be like. This helps you to analyze how that person became great and what made him great. This makes you know your abilities and things to work to become someone like that. Copycat theory is one proven way for becoming great.

? Set goals -. Make a list of goals that you have to achieve and work accordingly. Encourage yourself by giving incentives for achieving a goal. Set small term and realistic goals so that you are not discouraged and have fear of not achieving it. Many small drops of water together become a sea; similarly, all your short-term goals will help you in making achieve bigger goals.

? Be ready to learn new things - Be hungry for knowledge from whatever source you get. Even small ideas can become great inventions. Keeping yourself open to learn new things is always profitable and provides ways to achieve things.

? Be a problem solver - always see problems as a part of success as solving them gives you confidence and explore new problems.

Make a note of things you always want to do and read it every day when you get up.

Keeping Plans on Track

Posted by on | | 0 comments

You have plans and something always gets in the way. Another day has passed and you still have not started the project. Wait a minute, what was that project anyways? Yes again the big plan was aborted, it is so easy to get off track. Do we constantly sabotage ourselves on purpose? It is so much easier to get sidetracked and before you know it a week has passed then two.

When you have a big plan, breaking it down into very small plans, the process to get to the final results is much more attainable.

The thing is that you don't beat yourself up and then give up. We all do it, time and time again. Had these great plans and was staying on purpose, with time lines for certain projects. All was going right on schedule and then I took a break, next thing I find I am in a project that was going to take second place position. The problem now, the focus was gone. A break is one thing, but a memory lapse was not part of the overall plan.

To get back on track first and foremost you have to forgive yourself. Then reorganize the plan.Envision the end results, but don't get so caught up in this that you become so overwhelmed by the long road ahead. You need the big overall plan this will take you to the projected results. The big plan must now be broken down into smaller plans. If your end result will take years to achieve, then each plan should be divided into years, months, weeks and then daily plans. With a long plan you need to give yourself a break as in days off in the month and a few weeks off over each year. If you don't take the break you are likely to burnout and not ever finish. Some days you will feel like you have accomplished a great deal towards your goals. Other days you may feel like you are going in reverse. Even two steps backwards is a learning procedure, give yourself a break on this one. If you stop and analyze your daily activity you might find that you have covered a great deal of ground and more on course than you had first thought.

Knowledge - Action - Power

Posted by on | | 0 comments

The knowledge we gain is like muscle that we gain, if it not used and worked often it will grow weak and useless; also if not consistently pushed to its limits it will not grow and develop.

In body building there are techniques used to make your muscles grow and expand, and other techniques to build endurance and maintain them; the same goes for developing your success.

You read, listen to lectures, watch videos, listen to audio, compile notes and study; you find various sources of supporting and opposing views, you draw conclusions and you build on what you learn.

Organizing your knowledge is key in determining what goals you are going to achieve and in which order; organized knowledge also gives you instant access to the facts and skills you'll need in achieving your goals as well.

From what you learn you develop a plan, goals and map them out then you take action on what you have mapped out. Achieving each goal one at a time building upon each success, like climbing a ladder or stairs towards your ultimate destination.

Many people believe just because they have an education and hold a degree that they are successful and better than others, but an educated person without a purpose in life is not a success; they have the potential for success, but without action there is no success.

The formula for success is as follows: (Knowledge + Action) / Corrections = Power. There is never true success without failures along the way, you do not focus on these failures nor look for them, but when they happen you correct your plan and continue on.

Power is the ability to do what you what, when you want and how you want as long as you do not interfere in the rights of others. Sure there are those that have power over others but this is not just or right and usually leads to the failure of you or the organization you have constructed.

From Power comes Success, from great power comes great success, and how great either is, is determined by you and your master mind group; for no individual succeeds without the help of others. Only by having a powerful mastermind group at your back will you be super-successful; and this is determined by the harmony of the group.

To truly gain knowledge ALWAYS keep an open mind; look at the information presented to you, evaluate it and then determine if it should be adopted or tossed aside. If it makes you think then think on it, ask your mastermind's opinion on the topic and then pass final judgment on the information. Not everyone will have the same opinions and that is why they are called opinions.

Just because you strongly believe in YOUR opinions and have gathered "facts" that justify YOUR opinions you have NO right to force them on others, just as THEY have NO rights to force their opinions on you.

The successful person is not the one who has memorized all the facts but the one that can think on their feet and apply what they have learned; it is the person's ability to adapt and extrapolate the information they have learned and apply it in new ways never thought of before.

Learn and build your Knowledge base, construct goals and plans, take Action on those plans, Adjust to the road blocks put in your way and Adapt, and build you Power and your Success.

Improving Your Image in Unexpected Ways, From Your Ringtone to Your Business Card

Posted by on | | 0 comments

In addition to improving your image in how you dress and how you communicate with others face-to-face, there are some other areas of your life that send people an impression of you that you may have never thought of. Find out below some areas in your life where you can make some minor improvements to help you send the right message you want to project to others:

? Your email address/screen name. What does your email handle/screen name say about you? Does it say who you are because it's your name? Does it indicate one of your hobbies or interests? Does it indicate what you do for a living? Where you went to college? Our email address can say a lot about us in just a few short characters. If you have recently found yourself in the market for a job due to downsizing and other effects of the current economy, you want to make sure you stick with an email address that is professional sounding. Avoid "cutesy" or questionable screen names that can send the wrong message. It's best to use one that has your first and last name in it so that when you email your resume to an employer, they know exactly who is sending the attachment.

? Your outgoing voice mail. What does your outgoing voice mail say about you? For your home phone voice mail, it could indicate whether you live alone or in a house with a lot of family members. If you are a single woman, you probably don't want to draw attention to the fact that you live alone for safety reasons. It's best to say "we can't take your call right now" instead if "I can't take your call right now." Or, choose the voice mail's standard greeting option. Again, if you are in the middle of a job search, you will be receiving calls from potential employers to set up times for interviews. It's a good idea that you give them your cell phone number so that you can give your name only in the message, indicating they've reached the correct person. Giving them your cell phone number also prevents you from missing any messages your roommate or your 9-year-old accidentally deletes. Whatever you choose, it should be a professional sounding voice mail with no background noise. You also need to make sure your voice indicates enthusiasm. You don't want to sound bored or boring when a potential employer hears your voice for the first time. That's why you should always answer your phone in a cheerful tone when you may be expecting a call from a potential employer.

? Your ring tone. What does your ring tone say about you? The sound of your ring tone or the song you've chosen for your ring tone can say a lot about your personality, your lifestyle, your values, and more. When choosing a ring tone, determine who might be around to hear it go off. Ask yourself if you would be embarrassed by the ring tone if your phone happened to go off in a job interview, in an important meeting, or in church. (Hopefully you're well-versed in cell phone etiquette to know to turn your phone to silent before entering into such situations, but there are times when we all forget to do so.) Select a ring tone that is representative of who you are when you're on your best behavior, while keeping in mind the annoyance factor. Will others find your ring tone annoying even though you like it? If so, consider just whom you might be annoying or offending. It could be the person that holds the keys to your next job.

? Your business card. Everyone should have a business card, especially if they are in the market for a job. Don't wait until you are hired for the company to pay for you to have business cards. Invest the time and money in having your own card for your job search or for your own business. Now, living in Nashville where you can throw a stone and hit six songwriters with that one stone, it's easy to collect a lot of cards from a lot of people in the music industry. I try my best to always write down on the back of the card where I met this person so when I'm looking back through my rolodex I can remember who the person is. I'm one of those people who remembers a face but has a hard time remembering names. I have a feeling I'm not the only one who is like that. Therefore, I like getting a business card from someone who has included their picture on their card. This is the same reason why I have my picture on my card. I don't have to stop and think where I met this person when they have their picture on the card. I know that there are online services where you can create your own card using one of their templates and get a set of cards just for the cost of shipping, but let me tell you why that's not the best idea. There is one particular template from an online printing service that has a red background with a microphone on it. Do you know how many people here in Nashville have given me a card with this template background? Their cards don't stand out to me because they look like so many other cards I've been given. Also, they are printed on very thin paper. What impression (whether right or wrong) do you think this makes on the person receiving the card? I want to encourage you to take the time to create your own unique card with your picture (or without if it's not appropriate in your particular industry to include your picture) or get help from someone who can, and then have them professionally printed. You won't be sorry! People will respond, "Hey this is a nice card," and they will remember that. I created my own card in Microsoft Publisher and then took it to my local UPS Store for copying. I had to wait for it to be sent off to be printed, but they came back with richer color, a glossier coating, and a thicker stock for $10 less than what I had spent on HALF the amount of cards I had gotten printed at another well-known copy company! It is worth the work to do this and I have helped others create a business card of great quality that presents the right image.

By taking these tips into consideration and putting them into practice, you'll be noticed by others in a positive way as opposed to a negative way.

How to Become Unsuccessful - Top 3 Tips to Sabotage Your Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Everyone is trying to become successful at one thing or the other but I know you are quite 'different' and have been searching for some great tips to help you become unsuccessful. To help you out of sheer compassion I have compiled a list of my top 3 tips to sabotage your success

Tip #1 Try to Please Everyone

Some one had said "I don't know the key to success but I do know the key to failure and that is 'Try to please everyone'.

If you want to kill your success then stick to this.

Always try to please everyone around you and no one can prevent from being unsuccessful. Guaranteed!!!

Tip #2 Try to Be Like Some One Else

You can't beat this one. If you really want to be unsuccessful then this idea is just perfect.

Always try to be like some one else, always copy his/her style of walking, talking, eating, thinking, behaving etc etc etc.

You know what? No body likes a person who walk, talk, eat, think or behave like some one else and not like himself. Therefore your success rate in being unsuccessful will be quite higher.

Tip #3 Don't Learn Anything New

Ahh...there is so much fun in being lazy.

Sleeping and wasting time on useless activities and things is just wonderful. I never understand what is the need of learning new things.

Enjoy what have you learnt till now and leave learning new things and staying updated for those 'active' kind of people.

Hope these 3 tips shall be of immense help and you will soon see yourself becoming the most unsuccessful person ever known!

My Inner Space

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Everyone has the potential to find the doorway to his or her inner space and can knock on its door until ready to be admitted. The psychological and spiritual work that we do on ourselves is the knocking on the inner door. Once admitted to that inner space, one can experience peace and contentment.

Most people search for contentment instead through successful external accomplishments which do not necessarily lead them to their inner space. To feel worthy and valuable, they struggle hard to become stars and shine in the sky of their life. From my own life experiences and from working as a therapist with many "successful" individuals, I have noticed that no matter how much one accomplishes and how high one travels in the sky of his or her life, one can never feel quite content. A so-called successful individual can develop tolerance to the highs of external accomplishments and then need more successes to feel the same high, just as a drug addict develops tolerance to the drug and as a result needs more drugs to feel the same euphoria.

Success is not compensation for feelings of inferiority. Maybe you were reared by parents who often put you down; becoming rich and famous is not going to heal your wounded self-esteem. Perhaps you grew up in a homophobic and racist society where you were made to feel humiliated for being different; you won't heal by external accomplishments such as driving expensive cars or living in a rich neighborhood. There is nothing wrong with making money and enjoying the fruits of your labors, as long as you are not doing it for the purpose of covering up your inferior feelings. Real success is not about becoming a star and shining famously. Instead of becoming a star and in the process having so many breakdowns, work on breaking yourself open through honoring your feelings. When you are broken open, you discover an inner space that hosts not only the stars but the entire galaxy. In this space you are free and detached. You no longer need to become a star to feel content or worthy because you are home to so many shiny stars. In this inner space you can experience your self-worth very differently, based on who you are as a being. This can lead to successes, including prosperity.

How do we break open and enter our inner sacred space? Life offers us mixed experiences. Some are painful and force us to notice them. The way we let ourselves experience these life events can lead us either toward growth and opening or toward breakdown and victimization. The possibility for creating inner space in relation to our life experiences comes from accepting our feelings and not repressing them. To accept our feelings, we must have empathy and regard for them. Our painful feelings carry dense energy, and this energy can be transformed. By sharing our feelings genuinely with empathic individuals, we can transform them and release their psychological weight. We can feel our feelings and understand them through the process of sharing with someone who has done his or her own feeling work.

This process, accepting and feeling our feelings, having empathy for our feelings, and sharing and understanding them, can be the opening to a sacred inner space. This inner space has always been there, but many of us did not know it. This sounds simple, but courage is required to open up and tolerate our painful feelings in order to transform them through understanding and compassion. Many of us can feel vulnerable when it comes to sharing our feelings and exposing our pain. But summoning our courage, we can take risks and be seen as vulnerable. The courage has to do with taking risks and being seen as vulnerable.

Entering our inner space and experiencing peace in that empty place requires understanding and honoring our feelings. This journey can gives us a meaningful life purpose and freedom from material greed.

Persistence Is The Underlying Key To Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

There are various keys to true and lasting success. These are principles which govern and produce a life filled with joy, peace, fulfillment and satisfaction. Some of these keys include; having a purpose, planning, goal-setting, and focus. But to truly succeed takes something else. This is what really pushes an individual over the top and brings success in tremendous fashion. It is a force, which causes things to happen when it seems as if nothing else works. And that dynamo is, PERSISTENCE. If a person is determined to see something happen, and refuses to quit, as long as the thing desired is not contrary to nature, or of a destructive kind to man, God will back that individual's goal and persistence will produce victory.

To persist means to be constant. It is defined as, to be determined, unrelenting and continual. A persistent person is resolved to reach whatever goal he or she has set for himself/herself. Failure is not in their hearts or minds. As far as they are concerned, they will not fail. They will get the job done, finish what they have began, get what they are after, and reach their desired destination.

When we make up our minds that we will keep on keeping on until we accomplish our goals, and then pursue them with a relentlessness and fortitude which does not recognize or accept defeat, it will astound us what can be done, because of singleness of purpose. Really, a made up mind is a vital key to attaining any worthwhile and worthy goal.

Persistence will take you places that others may have through impossible. Persistence will make you push yourself when you feel as if you cannot go another mile, take another step or see the way clearly. It is a spiritual force. It inspires you to keep reaching when there seems to be no hope, to continue moving when others may think that you are not being realistic or that you are going insane. It motivates you to keep trusting and keep trying because what you are after is worth it.

Read the autobiographies and biographies of those throughout history who have accomplished things of incredible odds and you will discover that persistence played, if not a major part, the major part in the attaining of their pursuits. It pays to give constant, diligent effort to get what you are after and not quit when things look as if they are not working. Keep in mind that if it means that much to you and your family, and if it is something that will help to further the cause of others (in a worthwhile and godly manner), then it should not be abandoned. You can do it, you can attain it, you can accomplish it.

Here are five keys to developing persistence in your life. Keep in mind, that the principles of success work for anyone who will apply and live by them, be it man, woman, boy or girl, rich or poor, regardless of color, or size. These principles work when they are put to work. Concerning persistence, one of the major keys here is what you can do:

1. Make goals for your life. A goal is something you would like to attain. It is always good to have a plan and purpose you would like to fulfill. So pray, ponder and consider carefully what you would like to accomplish.

2. Set timelines for the accomplishing of those goals. This is vital because when you give your goal a deadline, you are literally focusing your attention upon that goal. When your mind knows that something has to be done by a certain time, it will work with you to get it done.

3. Set out a plan as to how you can reach your goal and what you would need to do it.

4. Do not procrastinate. When you have your plan, work it. Begin immediately. Take action NOW.

5. Keep at it. Don't stop taking action until you hit your mark. Remember, you can be it, do it, have it, if you want it bad enough to keep at it until you get it.

When NOT to Listen to Others

Posted by on | | 0 comments

"Who said it could not be done? And what great victories has he to his credit which qualify him to judge others accurately?
- Napoleon Hill

The next time someone puts you down or tells you you'll never accomplish something or says anything negative about you or what you're doing ask yourself what makes them qualified to judge you.

Many times people will offer you free advice because they care about you and don't want to see you get hurt or lose your money. This advice comes from caring even though it may be negative.

They may say "that will never work! Why are you wasting your time?" although it is a negative they are saying it because they care, but you have to analyze their statement.

What are they really saying? They are saying please be careful "they" don't think it will work but if it's something you believe in something YOU really want to do then take their statement, thank them for their advice and then say to yourself, "I'll show them! I'll make this work and then they'll KNOW I CAN DO IT!"

Use their negative statement to fuel your drive for success.

Other people will shoot down your dreams because they are jealous that you might succeed and they'll still be where they are now. Their statements come to stop you not out because they care, but because they don't want to see you succeed while they don't and they're too lazy to do what you are doing.

The last types of people are the ones that don't like you, or just don't like anyone that succeeds. These people are too lazy to do anything except run their mouths and cut down anyone that has worked hard and achieved success.

This people are to be felt sorry for. They have nothing better to do then attack those that are successful and no energy to actually achieve anything worth wild.

In the end the only opinion about you that matters is the one you have about yourself. It's always great to ask for input or advice, just make sure you are asking the correct people that will be honest and helpful, not just trying to put your in your place or actually trying to see you fail.

Success is a state of mind as is your health and your self-image of yourself.

Always consider the source and the tone in which you receive advise.

Sabotaging Your Own Personal Development Goals? How to Successfully Change Yourself

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Do you find yourself unable to change yourself or get rid of bad habits no matter how hard you try? Do you find yourself starting out well on a new personal development goal but suddenly turning back around and relapsing on your old bad habits in the process? You are on self-destruct mode; you are sabotaging your own chances of putting your life in order.

What's the Root Problem?

A lot of people fall prey to self sabotage. They refuse to make changes and positive developments in their lives. And the reason is that they have unresolved conflicts inside them. No matter how hard you try to consciously make a change or a clean break in life, these inner conflicts, which are embedded deep inside you, will still come out and create negative thoughts in your head, and this will almost always lead to negative consequences and results.

So before you list down all your resolutions to try and change your life, you first have to resolve your inner conflicts.

So how does these inner conflicts affect our lives? As an example, consider a person who wants to stop smoking. They consciously know that smoking is bad for them, and they have read about all the methods they can use to get rid of their smoking habit. But still, they don't follow anti-smoking advice or they neglect to bring their nicotine gum or put their nicotine patches. This is because they subconsciously don't want to stop smoking, either because their minds are still set on how smoking makes them feel or because they've developed a reliance on smoking as a way of dealing with stress. So before that person can get rid of smoking, he needs to find a different way to attain the similar feeling he gets when he smoke, or a different way of dealing with stressful situations in life.

How to Recognize Your Inner Conflicts

Are there any changes you want to make in yourself and in your life? If so, then you have to first recognize any inner conflicts that may get in your way of changing. To figure out the things that are holding you back from your personal transformation goals, try to visualize yourself achieving the change you desire. What do you feel when you imagine yourself as a changed person? Do you feel any fear or sadness at losing something when you change? If so, then that's what's holding you back. Be careful and patient with yourself because inner conflicts reside in the subconscious mind.

How to Overcome Your Inner Conflicts

Inner conflicts are impossible to resolve consciously. You need to go down to where they have set down their roots, which is your subconscious mind. The best way to alter the state of your subconscious mind is to fill it with positive subliminal messages about yourself without your internal conflicts.

Once you recognize the conflict that's holding you back and get rid of them, it will easier to change your attitude and personality and start thinking and acting more positively.

Shortcut to Personal Growth

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Is there such a shortcut? Absolutely.

Every time you get together with long-time-no-see friends, what will they say about you? Will they come to you with surprise, "Wow, you've changed a lot. What did you do?" There would always be friends telling me so and it made me reflect back on the past five years.

Five years ago, I was happily living in Shanghai and never had the thought of leaving there, until I met a friend who had just returned to Shanghai after living in Australia for 10 years. During one of our talks, he said to me, "It's good to go out and look at the world, if you have the opportunity. You'll experience different culture and gain different perspective." What he said registered in my mind. Half a year later, a job opportunity made me decided to come to Singapore and started to explore another country.

Today, I'll say it was a decision without regret and it's been an enriching experience. If I had not met him and made friend with him, I might have taken more years to step out. It was the friend I met who influenced me on my journey of growth.

Till today, I've never stopped meeting different new people, and getting to know them and their lives. It's always fascinating to discover different experiences the others have.

It might be the stories someone told that opened a new world to me;
it might be the words someone said that shed a new light on me;
it might be the adventurous personality someone has that uncovered life's unlimited possibilities to me.

It was the people I met in the past five years and the positive impact they had on me that led me on the highway of personal growth.

Motivational speaker, Charlie "Tremendous" Jones, said, "You will be the same person in five as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read."

1. Are you meeting new people? What will you learn from every person you meet?

2. How about "the books you read"?

I can't stress more on that. All the great minds have been reminding us again and again.

"He fed his spirit with the bread of books." ~ Edwin Markham

"Books are lighthouses erected in the great sea of time." ~ E.P. Whipple

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers." ~ Charles W. Eliot

It was Seven Habits of Highly Effective People that planted the appreciative and empathetic seed in my heart;
it was How to Make Friends and Influence People that strengthened the alertness of my listening ear;
it was Almost Buddhist that purified my soul and grew me a peaceful mind;
it was Failing Forward that gave me courage and determination;
it was Developing the Leader within You that showed me hope and possibilities.
......

Do you know how many people stopped reading after they left school? More than 80% of the population. Are you one of them?

Mark Twain said, "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them."

If you continue reading, do you know how much advantage you'll have?

Five years from now, will you be different? Are you choosing to make a different you?

Subliminal Programming - Delving Deep Into Your Subconscious Mind and How It Works

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Have you ever experienced the energizing and motivating feeling of having positive thoughts coursing through you? Don't you feel strengthened, as if new life was breathed into you? Don't you feel capable, like you can do anything you set your mind to? That's the effect that positive subliminal messages can have on you.

Subliminal messages are sent to the subconscious part of our brains. These messages can control the way that you perceive things, people, and circumstances. If you are exposed to positive subliminal messages, you will reap the benefits mentioned above.

But why are these messages so powerful? What is it about the subconscious part of the brain that can control our lives, our very circumstances?

How the Subconscious Controls Your Reality

The subconscious is this powerful part of the brain that controls how we think, which then affects how we act and what we do. These, in turn, is what composes the reality that we experience. So whatever it is we are going through today, this all leads back to the subconscious mind.

What Controls the Subconscious?

If it is the subconscious that controls your reality, the question now is, what controls the subconscious? The subconscious is controlled by practically everything we see, hear, taste, touch, feel, or experience around us. It responds actively to a wide range of influences and programming that are present in our environments. Thus, the subconscious mind is usually likened to a big storehouse where the brain stores everything that it does not currently require in day to day life. This is why it is the subconscious that stores past emotions, past hurts, and so on. The conscious mind only chooses which of these "stocks" are necessary for the present moment.

Other Facts about the Subconscious and How It Works

Here are other facts that can help you understand just how the subconscious controls you and how controlling it puts you in charge.

? The subconscious is not a single portion of the brain. Thoughts coming from the subconscious were found scattered all throughout the entire brain.
? The subconscious works independently from the conscious mind. It is continuously aware even if the conscious mind is asleep.
? It makes up around 80 to 85 percent of your thoughts when you are doing something. This means that in doing each task, 80 to 85 percent of that is done by the brain subconsciously.
? It uses a physically independent set of brain tissues from the conscious mind. These brain tissues perform high-speed neural connections that occurs all throughout the brain.
? It is capable of processes that the conscious mind cannot perform.

How Can You Control It?

This all makes the subconscious sound scary, as if it is a separate entity inside us that controls us. But just look at the positive side of the matter. Being capable of the full power and capabilities of the subconscious, you know just how powerful it can be when used for the right purposes. And you have the power to use your subconscious, this powerful entity inside you, for whatever purpose you see fit. You have the power to control its power, and the main control panel is subliminal messages.

By sending messages to program your subconscious, you can get it to perform a certain way. You can program it to always look on the brighter side of things, to perform to the best of its abilities, and to believe in success. This way, it will also control your thoughts, actions, and behavior so that all these work together to get you to the most optimum state in your life.

Success in Cold Calling - Secrets Unveiled!

Posted by on | | 0 comments

It is a tough job negotiating with those about whom we really do not possess a specific idea. And this is what cold calling is all about. The cold caller feels extremely uncomfortable and mentally pressurized because he is unsure of the person's intention and mood on the other side of the phone. The individual making the call at times feel so frustrated that he no longer remains in a state of withstanding further rejections.

However, cold calling can seem less painful if you are able to utilize your mental flexibility and accept challenge as it comes to you. Here are seven steps that can make cold calling a super success and less painful for you:

First Step: A fruitful conversation is the first successful step in motivating a person. A legitimate verbal interaction helps in building a relationship of trust and dependence.

Second Step: The cold caller becomes successful in gathering useful information regarding a particular matter only when he has been able to personalize his conversation with the person concerned.

Third Step: The cold caller must try to understand the mental setup of the person he is calling. A better understanding is the secret of a successful communication.

Fourth Step: At the beginning of the conversation, the prime motive of the cold caller should be to try to understand the problem faced by the person on the other side of the phone. Then only the person will feel interested in knowing the prospects and offers put forward by the caller.

Fifth Step: It is wise for the cold caller to start his conversation with a dialogue rather than with a presentation. A presentation is a formal way of approaching a person, which can hamper the natural flow of a discussion.

Sixth Step: Commercialized is what the cold caller should never be. His prospect should be his main focus while conversing but his attitude should always be friendly and informal.

Seventh Step: At the final stage the caller should never panic to go ahead with his proposal. A well-calculated step from either side will jointly solve the problem.

Always remember! Your self-confidence and positive attitude can motivate a person and make him listen to what you really have to say.

Success Maker III - Home Influence

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Good home influence lays the foundation for career success. Almost everything depends on a good beginning. If you need to retrace your steps you will lose time, and also confidence. "Do it right the first time," is very good advice to follow consistently. Just ask efficiency experts.

You want to build a good reputation. You want your associates, acquaintances, audience, or market to have a good opinion of you. But you need to see to it that your good reputation is deserved because the world will find out sooner or later.

Sudden wealth makes instant reputation, as it does instant friends. But in most cases, adversity is the best test of character - and friendship.

The soldier who fights for his principles is a hero, but not necessarily a success. The motive for your goal determines how much effort you're going to put in to achieve it. Selfishness may prosper but it cannot become an enduring success as that based on a willingness to help others. Your purpose will strengthen you in times of trouble and the reason you rejoice on the day you triumph.

Some may ask "Why should I work my butt off if I only have myself to live for?" This may well be a common sentiment for one who does not have a wife, partner, mother, brother, sister, children, belief, or advocacy to struggle for. One who does not feel that the effort to build character is its own reward.

To build a home is one of the greatest motivations to succeed. Everyone who loves his mother, or reveres her memory knows this. They are indeed blessed, who continue to experience the influence of a good home.

Home is the first and most important influence of character. It is there that each one receives his best moral training, or his worst. It is there that one instills his principles that endure through life. Your home training includes your character formation. It is there where most of your habits are formed, where your interest is piqued, your intellect awakened, and your character is molded for good or bad. The impressions formed in a child's mind, becomes world opinion if the child finds success later in life.

It is the nature of things that home life is preparation for participation in society at large. From family life we advance to citizenship. Where love and responsibility pervades the home, we can expect healthy, happy, and capable citizens to develop, contributing to the general welfare of society.

A good home is the best of environments, not just in youth but in old age. There both enjoy a cheerful atmosphere, a sense of civic duty where patience, self-control, and service is nurtured in one and taught by the other. The home is where you learn forbearance for another's shortcomings because you feel the same when you display your own.

A lot depends on the home, for it is the foundation of society and good government. And it is a sad commentary on our times that so many distractions are there to neglect it.

As the home affects one's character because of the people who live there, it follows that the young person who leaves his home behind, would want to associate with people who remind him of fond memories.

Home influence lays the foundation for career success.

Swimming Against the Stream Is Natural, Not Just for Salmon

Posted by on | | 0 comments

It is fascinating that the expression "to swim against the stream" is a metaphor for making choices in life that go against prevailing opinions. This is considered to be a challenge that is hard to attain. How interesting that we perceive natural phenomena to be difficult.

When we think of salmon swimming upstream back to their place of birth or the thousands of miles birds travel to migrate, we see them as enormous undertakings. However, I wonder if it is even possible for healthy salmon to choose not to return to the river that is their spawning grounds? Could a healthy migratory bird think "hmmm, maybe I'll just stay put this winter here in Canada, rather than flying all the way to Mexico"?

It is natural for the salmon to swim upstream. Yes, it takes a lot of energy, but this energy is expended in a manner that maximizes life fulfillment.

As humans our challenge is to get back in touch with the activities that come naturally to us. When we are out of touch with our natural strengths and desires, we settle for a life filled with activities that drain us. Many of us have forgotten our innate strengths, the activities we can engage in for hours without feeling exhausted. Activities that energize us and that we are naturally good at even though they might be perceived as challenging by others.

How to reconnect with the salmon within you:

1. Look back in your life and identify the activities that you enjoyed most as a child. Go ahead and write these activities down. They may provide important clues for the kinds of activities that may energize you today.

2. Now, think about the jobs you have done in your life so far. For each job, identify the activities that energized you most and add these to your list.

3. Then think about your personal life, hobbies and volunteer activities. Which activities energize you the most? Add these to your list.

4. Now, look at your list of insights. What small step will you take today to increase the time you spend doing things that energize you?

The energy you gain from engaging in these activities will provide the fuel to continue on the path of exploring your natural strengths. Soon, you will find yourself eager to swim against the stream, just like the salmon.

When you get stuck on your path of exploration, ask for support from a life coach. Often we take our greatest gifts for granted and think that there is nothing special or worthwhile about that which comes naturally to us.

Three Steps to Success - Part 1

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Would you like to be a person of success in every area of life? If so, this article is for you; this is a two part article and this first part will show you how you can become successful with the following three steps plan.

Step 1: Cultivate Your Dream

This will keep your dream alive and your heart motivated. This is the first recommendation in the six steps to success, and it includes a few things to cultivate your dream:

A. Create a dream board and look at it every day.

B. Pursue your dream with a burning desire; not wishful thinking

C. Repeat your dream every day.

If you do not cultivate your dream you will surely forget about it very quickly. Think of it daily and it will become a burning desire that will push you to the top. Do not quench your dream, but use it to improve your life. And on that line of thought I want to suggest that you make an outline of the six steps to success, just the phrases outline, and repeat it every day to boost your commitment to your dream.

Step 2: Be Yourself as You Pursue Your Dream

We were not born in the same family; do not have the same gifts, or the same circumstances. Is this unfair, as some people say? This is not unfair because those differences speak to the fact that each one of us is a different person, rather than a clone.

As you seek to achieve success online or elsewhere, you may follow the steps that you learned from others, but be yourself. In the long run you will be better off being yourself.

Weather you are poor or rich, black or white, U. S. citizen or not, you have within yourself an incredible potential. Take hold of your potential in ways that only you can, and follow these six steps to success faithfully; you will be amazed as what will happen.

Step 3: Stick to Your Choice Until You Reach Success in Life

You will be tempted to buy new programs or to chase new opportunities, but that is a recipe for failure. The vast majority of people fail because they do not stay with one thing. They keep moving from program to program.

Do not jump around different dreams or programs. Stick to your choice until you become a success story. It does not matter what kind of circumstances you face every day; the only thing that really matters is that you have the power to choose. You will experiment frustration and doubts about your pursue; it happened to me and at many times I felt like giving up. When this happens to you take time to meditate on each one of the six steps to success, even if you do not feel like doing it. It will work for you, as it did for me. The other steps will be described on part two of this article.

Success Secrets: 11 Crucial Tips for Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

In this article discover 11 simple yet extremely effective secrets mastered by successful people everywhere. This article contains a short synopsis of traits shared by successful and poor people alike. Please keep in mind that I am not judging success or poverty strictly on monetary terms but more so on quality of life as a whole.

Secret 1: Successful people become rich by serving everyone else. Poor people remain mediocre by serving their own self interests. Do you identify the problems other people often encounter and offer solutions for those problems or are you focused strictly on dealing with your own problems?

Secret 2: Successful people create the future for themselves and those that surround them. Poor people are comfortable allowing their future to be dictated by external circumstances. Do you view life as "happening to you" and believe you have little ability to change your life circumstances or do you proactively manage your life and make things happen based on what you want?

Secret 3: Successful people look to maximize how much value they can deliver from each dollar spent. Poor people look to maximize how much value they can extract from each dollar spent. Are you focused on delivering value to others or are you more concerned about what you are able to take away from each transaction with little regard for the other people involved?

Secret 4: Successful people measure the risks and weigh the rewards. Poor people avoid risk at all costs. Are you willing to consider new opportunities and operate outside of your comfort zone? Or do you prefer to avoid any new opportunities and continue to operate in a comfort zone that does not push you to expand your horizons.

Secret 5: Successful people lead by example and deliver results. Poor people talk about all the things they could have done if things were different and accomplish very little. Do you do what you say and practice what you preach, or do you talk a good game and fail to deliver?

Secret 6: Successful people find ways to distribute more power to everyone they encounter. Poor people are powerless and unable to help themselves and those around them. Do yo maximize your own value and help as many of the people that surround you as possible, or are you hung up on your own problems and unable to assist others in moving forward?

Secret 7: Successful people inherently build trust in relationships at all levels of interaction. Poor people spend the majority of their time distrusting everyone. What are your current relationships like? Do you often have conflict and moments of mistrust in your relationships, or do people inherently trust that you will do what you say and deliver on the promises you make? Are you able to trust those you deal with consistently and know you won't be taken advantage of, or are you consistently looking to protect yourself from the abuse of others?

Secret 8: Successful people consistently share their wealth and build more wealth in return. Poor people tend to hoard what they have acquired and in turn limit their ability to receive more. Are you constantly looking for ways to save what little you have or are you able to graciously share the wealth you have accumulated with those that provide value in your life?

Secret 9: Successful people are consistent, concise, and move with purpose. Poor people lack focus, direction, and tend to operate in a daze of confusion. Are your days haphazard, lacking structure, filled with chaos and inefficiency, or do you operate from a place of calm control where you dictate the outcome of where you will focus your time?

Secret 10: Successful people understand that the most important person to someone else is ultimately the other person. Poor people place themselves at the center and consider their perspective prior to anyone else. Who do you think about most often? Yourself or others?

Secret 11: Successful people understand that simple things done consistently lead to big results. Poor people don't take time to perform simple things consistently. Have you mastered discipline and structure or do you still operate without a schedule and plan?

Find ways to implement these success secrets in your life on a daily basis and I know that you will begin to experience unexpected results.

The 3 Most Important Secrets to Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Awareness:

The first step to success is awareness. For someone to be successful, they must realize that they want to achieve this feat. Many individuals do not even realize the potential that lays deep within the fabrics of their souls. Unfortunately this leads to many not even becoming aware of the success that lies ahead.

For example, take a homeless man in the streets. Both, you and the homeless man see a worthless beggar who uses his change to buy booze and cigarettes. However, what if this homeless man one day looked in the mirror, and realized he could sing? Well, he is now aware of his potential. This point can easily be related to the miracle case in early January 2011, where a homeless gentleman named Ted Williams within two years became a national sensation with his voice and his new job for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Interaction:

The second step to success in Interaction. Become more familiar with your new found talent or idea. For an individual to achieve success, a good amount of interaction and experiences is needed to arrive to the final stage of success engagement. Experience is the key to success in many aspects of life. For, material possessions can be taken away, but experience will always be with you until the day you die.

For instance, when a graduating student receives their college diploma, what will they remember, the piece of paper embroidered in plastic, or the experience and hardships it took to get that piece of paper?

Engagement:

This is the final stage of success, engagement. The ability for an individual to stay engaged with their long term goals. In the same manner, to take their potential, whether it be an idea, a talent, or long term objectives, and run with it to the end of the earth. Real Success, is never giving up in the face of defeat and staying engaged with what lays ahead a year from now and not in the next week.

To prove this point, let me state this: Everyone goes through obstacles, some more than others, some less than others, however these are the obstacles that make on who they are destined to be. True success is taking the past obstacles and utilizing them to conquer the present challenges that burden you.

The Importance of Self-Confidence

Posted by on | | 0 comments

At this stage of life, being a student is the most important aspect of our existence. It is the beginning of our career and through education we are curving a path to our success. So to do well in life and secure a bright future for ourselves, we should start working hard and planning our future from now.

It is very important to keep a specific goal in mind and work towards achieving it. We should plan ahead, study sincerely, and the most important thing we should have is self-confidence.

Self-confidence allows one to not be afraid of who they truly are and interact with other people smartly and directly. It is a very common to be nervous and lose confidence in one's self when approaching a stranger or when facing a difficult situation. For this lack of confidence, we sometimes become very embarrassed. A common situation where most students lose their confidences in themselves is when the teacher asks for feedbacks from them. The fear of telling the wrong answer and getting laughed at by the whole class is always present. Being nervous and having no confidence in the answer we provide to the teacher makes the situation worse. To improve our life self-confidence is must. It will help us to be a perfect and successful person.

Success is not the thing which we can buy or which we can borrow from someone. Success depends on the person who wants to gain it and to gain this success we need to do many works for which self-confidence is very much important. So in our day to day life we need to have self-confidence!

The Number One Activity for Your Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

It's possible to categorise all your activities into 4 types, based on the energy consequences in your life which they are associated with.

1. Energising

These are the activities which give you energy when you do them, and which give you a positive charge even when you just think about doing them. They are the things you are naturally drawn towards, the things you love doing. If you choose a career which involves a lot of these activities it will feel like you are not really working (this is the way I feel about running workshops). You are naturally drawn to do those things that will make you successful.

2. Energy Depleting

These are the activities which take energy away. They are things which have an energetic and emotional cost, and which affect you in a negative way if you encounter them. For example, working in a job you hate with people you don't like doing tasks you see as meaningless. Spending too much time doing activities like this puts you into energy deficit. Lose too much energy and you ultimately lose your zest for life. Keep it up for too long without balancing it with energy-giving and energising activities and you may even lose your life.

3. Deceptively Energising (Ultimately Depleting)

These are activities which appear as if they will give you energy but ultimately they take energy away. Like cotton candy (Australian's call this fairy floss) the energy boost is the result of short-lived pleasure rather than lasting happiness and success. We don't get what we have been promised. This includes things like smoking, drinking, overeating, and "retail therapy". Ultimately, these activities need to be eliminated from your life as they have a big cost to your self-esteem as well as your general happiness.

4. Deceptively Depleting (Ultimately Energising)

These are activities which appear on the surface as if they will take energy away but ultimately they give you energy. These sorts of activities seem as though they will cost you energy but end up giving more than they cost. You feel better after you've done them. For most people this includes things like working out, going for a jog or going to the gym. Another example is attending a networking event even though you are nervous, or making a call even though you may be rejected. In order to be more successful in your life you will almost certainly need to do more of these types of activities.

Another way of putting this is that these activities require you to move out of your current comfort zone - And your ultimate success is on the other side of your current comfort zone!

Getting yourself over your aversion or discomfort in order to do more type 4 activities is possibly the greatest way of achieving better results in your life.

Without having Energy Techniques the way to be more successful and happy in life is to do more of the things that give you energy and less of the things that drain your energy. Or to look at balancing the activities that drain your energy with activities that give you energy.

However, the energy consequences outlined above are not really located in the activities themselves. If they were then different people would all have the same emotional and energetic reaction to the same activity. But as you know, some of the activities which you avoid doing others in the world are drawn towards. One person's trash is another person's treasure.

What if the energy consequences of any activity for you were simply based on your own emotional-energetic programming? What if you just learned an emotional-energetic reaction to various activities in your life - for example when you were punished for doing a certain behaviour you learned to associate this behaviour with the feeling in the moment of that punishment - and what if you could change that reaction so that you were no longer emotionally programmed to avoid doing things which could be ultimately good for you?

What if you were no longer drained by the activities that are currently draining your energy? What if you could overcome the energy blocks to doing the things you want to do? What if you didn't need to seek feelings from things and activities at all? Wouldn't that be the ultimate definition of emotional freedom?

What if your energy came from a spring rising up from inside you, rather than coming in from the outside? Then the only thing required would be to remove the blocks to that flow, rather than to find things from outside you to give you the good feelings you want.

So the number one activity for your success is actually restoring energy flow.

And this is where energy tapping comes in - as in Emotional Freedom Techniques and our own Simple Energy Techniques (SET).

Tapping to remove blocks to energy flow and to restore energy flow may be the number one activity you can do to ensure your future success. By tapping, you can change the energy consequences of an activity, event or situation on your life. Then you can be free to do whatever you need to do to succeed.
