"The Secret Holocaust Diaries" Overview

For half a century, a terrible secret lay hidden, locked in a trunk in an attic... photos, official documents, and scraps of a diary written by a young girl. “The time has come when I must share my life story... some facts from the past that could make a contribution, however small it may be, to the history of mankind.”  The Secret Holocaust Diaries is a haunting eyewitness account of Nonna Lisowskaja Bannister, a remarkable Russian-American woman who saw and survived unspeakable evils as a young girl. For half a century, she kept her story secret while living a normal American life. She locked all her photos, documents, diaries, and dark memories from World War II in a trunk. Late in life, she unlocked the trunk, first for herself, then for her husband, and now for the rest of the world. Nonna’s story is one of suffering, torture, and death—but also of incredible acts of kindness that show the ultimate triumph of faith and love over despair and evil. The Secret Holocaust Diaries is in part a tragedy, yet it’s also an unforgettable true story about forgiveness, courage, and hope.

"The Secret (Seasons of Grace, Book 1)" Overview

In the seemingly ordinary Amish home of Grace Byler, secrets abound. Why does her mother weep in the night? Why does her father refuse to admit something is dreadfully wrong? Then, in one startling moment, everything Grace assumed she knew is shattered. Her mother's disappearance leaves Grace reeling and unable to keep her betrothal promise to her long-time beau. Left to pick up the pieces of her life, Grace questions all she has been taught about love, family, and commitment. Heather Nelson is an English grad student, stunned by a doctor's diagnosis. Surely fate would not allow her father to lose his only daughter after the death of his wife a few years before. In denial and telling no one she is terminally ill, Heather travels to Lancaster County--the last place she and her mother had visited together. Will Heather find healing for body and spirit? As the lives of four wounded souls begin to weave together like an Amish patchwork quilt, they each discover missing pieces of their life puzzles--and glimpse the merciful and loving hand of God.

"The Secret Language of Birthdays (reissue)" Overview

Combining astrology, numerology, and pure psychic intuition, The Secret Language of Birthdays is a wholly unique compilation that reveals one's strengths, weaknesses, and major issues while providing practical advice on spiritual guidance. It is a must have for every library and anyone even remotely interested in the dynamics of personality.

"The Secret Language of Birthdays (reissue)" Specifications

Sure, it's neat to know which famous people have the same birthday you do, but wouldn't it be fascinating to know what else you have in common with these celebrities? The Secret Language of Birthdays will show you this and much more. Through "personology" (a combination of characteristics influenced by sun sign, season, and day of the year) and an analysis of several thousand character profiles, authors Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elfers have pinned down the traits most common to people born on the same day.

Rather than taking a strictly astrological approach--how the planets, sun, and stars affect a person's behavior--the authors compare the commonalties of people who share birthdays, and piece together a personality for each day of the year, effectively slicing through geographical and cultural differences, while avoiding the one-size-fits-all trap of newspaper sun-sign horoscopes. Some readers may find the authors' strict use of the Gregorian calendar limiting, but conversion to other time-keeping systems is fairly simple (the authors make note of this problem and contend that a day is a day, whether someone names it October 21 or 1 Rajab). Goldschneider and Elfers focus on a model of the year as a wheel spinning in a recurring circle of patterns, an idea that reaches back far beyond the linear calendars we use today. Each birthday discussed includes important numbers, tarot cards, and a dose of psychology, so while you learn a little about the other people with your birthday, you may even discover something new about yourself. --Brian Patterson

The Key Secret Of Success Is Preparation (What If You Knew You Would Succeed Before You Begin?)

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Imagine if you already knew you will never be involved in a road accident! Wouldn't you sleep a little easier? More spring in your step during the day? How could you ever be sure of this? Simple - never go anywhere by road!

You might feel this is a little radical for you but if you are serious about living as long as you can then you will be very careful each day to make decisions that ensure your long term success. So by minimizing the road travel you take you can really maximize your likelihood of never being involved in an accident.

So many of us spend time on the road when we need not: we could be doing something far more fruitful with our lives! Do you recall the 1970's when there were still so few cars on the roads? Didn't we all have better things to do than sit in traffic blocks? Not nowadays it seems! Think before you drive: is your journey really necessary? What else could you do?

I have actually managed without an auto for the past two years to see if I can slow my life down. I am beginning to discover other things which count for more than just jumping in my car and burning fuel! I have to make better decisions about how I want to spend each day. I find I am learning the basics of careful preparation in life!

Since I have taken away the option of driving to get what I need I now find I don't even want so many things: the effort required now to go get them makes me value my time more. So I have a lot more time each week to do really cool things, and my life is a lot safer, too!

I no longer feel rushed so I make much better "good for me" decisions. I am cool and collected. Going by car is no longer an option so I know I won't be involved in a horrific road accident! I sleep much better!

What has all this got to do with your key to success?

I want to challenge YOU today to believe that the decisions YOU make each day have long term effects on your life and the lives of those around you!

My town is cluttered 24/7 with parked cars which go no place. Imagine if the owners sold those vehicles and walked instead - it would have a big impact on our society and our planet! We don't actually need to make all the pointless short journeys every day - we can achieve a lot more by being organized and harnessing the mind blowing power of Preparation.

What is Preparation?

Preparation is the reality of taking the effort to be prepared ahead of events.

Preparing ahead means YOU take responsibility for events in YOUR future! You decide to stop blaming 'Fate' and just get on with doing the best you can.

So the first step is to decide what you want to take place in the future: visualize the best case scenario you would like to occur. Quit dreading unforeseen circumstances and make your life open up and happen as you wish!

Why should things go bad for you? It can make no difference to the universe so decide to tip the scales in your balance as from today! Decide to prepare ahead so everything goes well for you.

Now sometimes something unforeseen happens - that's something you didn't foresee in your preparation. So always allow a loophole or two for the unexpected. Put your energy into projects where you already have a high chance of success before you start. Approach your ambitions in a step by step manner.

One of the greatest keys to my ability to prepare constantly for success in every project I attempt was learning to play a musical instrument. How has this helped me? Even before you begin, you set yourself a grand but easily measurable challenge. Believe me, you don't need any musical talent to learn to play any instrument proficiently. It is no magic art but just a set of daily disciplines which will enable you to enjoy more proficiency on your chosen instrument year by year. Anyone can learn music and you will make a lot of friends through this, too, but the great end result is that you achieve self belief in being able to master any challenge you set yourself. Following daily disciplines also develops powerful self mastery.

Put your energy into projects you can succeed in with a step by step approach. Choose to spend your time on projects which enthrall you. Quit spending time on needless journeys and opt to achieve the things you really want to do! Stop putting things off until later in life - start the things you want to do now. Don't worry about what you will do when you retire! Do cool things now. Get involved.

Why is Preparation the Key to Your Success?

Because nothing happens randomly. Things occur in your experience because you set the patterns in motion beforehand. You decide to go to art college, then chances are you'll become an artist. You decide to argue with your partner then chances are you'll feel anger. Anger needs careful management - does it really have any purpose in your life? I reject anger and opt for cool calmness instead.

Being cool and calm is the best mindset for preparation in all things. Look ahead and imagine something you would enjoy coming to fruition. What is it, and how can you achieve this?

You really can achieve anything you set your mind to. Have no doubt about this. But everything takes time to achieve. What are the best steps to take to ensure your success? I research online to find people who have already achieved what I want to: say I want to invest on the stock market and achieve a 12% annual return, then I will find people who already regularly achieve this and decide how I will emulate them. Say I want to play a beautiful trumpet solo in a concert? I will buy trumpet, take the daily steps to learn to play, join a band - I will probably need a tutor! Find people who can assist you in achieving your goals.

People want you to succeed, especially your tutor, mentor, coach or advisor! So get yourself a success team. Be prepared to learn. Enjoy every step of the way! Be willing. Share your new found knowledge.

Your success team will advise you on the preparation you require. Prepare. Know that your act of preparing is your key to success!

1. You have chosen a worthy project.

2. You have teamed up with someone who knows how to achieve success in this project.

3. You prepare in the appropriate manner in order to be ready for the successful result you desire.

4. You take persistent action.

5. You begin to attain your goal.

6. Share your success with others.

I like projects where the attainment is never a clear horizon: that's why I gain so much from learning to play music. I first have the goal to become proficient on the instrument, then to perform, then to widen my repertoire, then to meet with other musicians - it's an enjoyable on going process.

Blogging is a similar process - you start a blog, perhaps just a journal at first, then it grows and you become a skillful writer leading a social community online! You have widened your circle of influence.

What will you gain?

Each project you prepare for and take the persistent action to achieve success in builds your confidence for the next. This amazing but surefire method adds zest to your life, lengthens your days, increases your energy, promotes your abilities and brings you enjoyment and a real feeling of attainment. Suddenly you have become the master of your destiny, no longer swayed by the four winds to end you know not where!

Gradually through preparing carefully and methodically to achieve each project, you build unshakable belief in your ability to achieve everything you want to. Each project is a step by step process of learning and achieving. You learn that each decision you make is powerful because it determines your results in life. No one tells you what to do - you choose!

Self reliance allows you to do everything you want to. You choose and you see things through to the end. You realize that the universe belongs to you because it is there to do your bidding. This is the key to preparation: knowing you are in command. And preparation is the key to your success in all you do. So take command today and enjoy the success you can achieve every time through methodical preparation and persistent action! No more excuses! Do your thing!

Looking ahead

You can confidently expect success before you even take the first action because each project can be broken down into measurable actions and you can easily find people who have already done this before to help you on your way.

Money is no issue - cultivate relationships which will lead you to the knowledge you require to take the daily action steps to success. Network frequently. Develop a giving nature. Believe there is a way to succeed and expect to find it. Do what it takes.

Look ahead and figure what will arise as a result of actions you take. Compare possible scenarios. Decide which end result you'd prefer. Strive to take the persistent action to achieve the result you truly want rather than letting other people boss you about and being content with whatever result 'destiny' hands you. Destiny is merely the default setting you attain for failing to decide how you want your life to develop. Make your own choices, build your sense of purpose, and above all: learn to value your time and effort! Well done!

It's finally time to wake up and enjoy the rest of your life! Determine to become the person you really want to be no matter what the cost! Read more and enjoy FREE video training on how to achieve the Success Mindset on my Success and Web Resources blog today!

The Number One Success Secret

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Have you ever found yourself saying "I know what I need to do; I just need to do it!" Perhaps deep down you know you need to take some the time to get clear on certain aspects of your business. Maybe you know you need to focus and learn more about certain marketing details. Maybe it's delegating your book keeping. Perhaps it's about getting out there and networking, investigating social media strategies or it could even be the simple task of following up with clients' whom have slid through the cracks. This leads me to the number one success secret I know of... The willingness to take consistent action - no matter what, is the one characteristic that sets all successful business owners apart from the crowd.

When I left my corporate job and started at a chiropractic clinic doing massage therapy 9 years ago I didn't have any clients. From the beginning I knew I had to get out there so that I could pay my rent and make ends meet. As a result, I made a commitment to myself to do whatever I could to build my practice. This took on-going, consistent and earnest action on my part. I had to. And the result? In 6 months my practice was full and with the consistent action of managing my time and creating consistent marketing systems, it stayed full. After a while, all of this just became a habit. And it still is from this day forward. And, that is how taking action in your practice has got to be if you want to have a full practice.

You see, the problem with not taking action is that if your ideal clients don't hear about you, they can't hire you. And if other professionals don't know about you, they can't refer to you.

So are you ready for tough love? It's your duty to start taking action and market yourself. Each of us was given skills and talents and a life purpose as a holistic therapist. There are people who need your services. If you don't use your skills, you won't be playing your part in this world. You are responsible to make sure people know how they can find you and what you offer. So, there is no talking in circles about doing something deep down you know you "ought to". Stop rolling all the worst-case scenarios in your head over and over again. Don't expect a guarantee that everything is going to work out as planned and don't make up excuses as to why it would be better to do it later.

Just take action toward one goal you feel would help you to build your practice. And, once you do it the first time, keep doing it until it becomes an automatic reflex. It has to become an unconscious practice - like going to the bathroom. When you do something, one of two things will happen: You will succeed or you will fail.

If you're successful, you'll do more of the same thing and improve it. If you fail, you can learn from your mistakes and you can move forward differently or to try something else. It's really that simple.

Expect that getting into the groove of taking consistent action to feel odd and uncomfortable for you at first. That's normal. Taking action is not a habit for you yet. You have to practice it. You have to do it over and over. Then it starts feeling natural and comfortable.

Just do something consistently. Even if it takes you out of your comfort zone a little. And what you'll find is that it's not so bad. It actually feels good to be doing something that is taking you somewhere - anywhere. After a while, you'll find that it gets easier, more pleasant and you'll start seeing little successes unfold. (Remember to write these success's down!)

So for today, commit to doing one thing. Just one. Just make one follow up call. Just write one thank you note. Just ask one client to rebook. Just investigate Facebook or Twitter. Just decide to write newsletters on a regular basis. Just consider creating a niche for yourself. Just say no to setting fees that don't properly compensate you. Just get help if you need some. And then do it some more.

You decide what action it is that you are going to take today. Write it down, do it and pat yourself on your back. And tomorrow, do it again.

Your Assignment

Decide today what you will take action on in your business. Just pick one. Complete it and pick a new one. If you have multiple ideas and feel overwhelmed, hone in on one and stick with it for 6 months. Pick the one that is easiest to get started with and will make you the most amount of money. Don't get wishy washy about it. Get specific and create clear goals for yourself.

Jackie McKay, Prosperous Practice Mentor, teaches soul-inspired natural health practitioners the heart-centered HOW TO of busting through entrepreneurial fears, attracting ideal clients, making more money, and making a name for themselves in their purpose-centered healing business.

It's No Secret - How to Be Successful

Posted by on | | 0 comments

How we experience our world is determined by our thoughts about people and events in our lives. When someone criticizes us, we can choose to take it to heart or we can choose to allow them their opinion and leave it at that. We continually choose what to think. We can let our thoughts ramble on out of control heading toward fear and self doubt or we can choose calming, happy, uplifting, freeing thoughts. Our thoughts are so closely related to our feelings that when we change our thoughts we change our feelings and our life experience.

There are endless choices but I feel the most damaging choice we make is to be swayed by the big "S" word. It originates in the mind rather than in the heart so there's a clue that it might not be the best choice. Heart choices come from a place of well-being, from a place of connection to your highest good. More often than not we are continually making choices between a head choice and a heart choice. The big "S" word is "should". "I should get into work early to appear highly productive", "I should do what my partner expects", "I should volunteer for that project" and on it goes all day every day. The word should, immediately places you in a place of negativity and all choices made from that place do not serve your best interest.

I believe the feeling the word "should" evokes is very destructive. It conjures guilt and restriction and resentment, all of which are strong negative emotions. These negative emotions develop patterns within us that prevent inspiration and all that is good from flowing to us to help us achieve all the wonderful abundance we deserve.

It is the choices we make on a continual basis everyday that sculpt our world. When you make choices from a place of a loving, giving, open heart space, you allow your world to reflect that back to you. Likewise the opposite will occur. Negative, restrictive thought patterns will attract experiences of that nature. This is a world of attraction and that which you focus on will increase. Therefore it is your best interest to stay focused in loving place as much as possible.

Well how do I choose between two things when I don't want either of them I hear you ask? Good question. This is when you call on your understanding of consequences to help. You can turn all choices around to come from a place of "I choose" rather than "I feel forced" which is what "should" is all about. When you understand that you are making the choice and you are not being forced by anyone, you realize that you are acting form an empowered place that is open to great potential for good things to happen.

Here's an example of how to eliminate a should. Consider you have two choices, but either one will make someone unhappy. The trick is to choose the one you feel makes you feel the best. There are always consequences of our actions so choose the decision that has the consequences you feel you can best live with.

Your dialogue might go something like this.

I feel obligated to do"X" but if I do this thing I will be totally miserable and the whole event will be a disaster. If I don't do "X" then the other person will feel bad but I will feel relief.I will feel upset for making the other person feel bad but my sense of relief of not doing "X" will out weigh my sadness.

Or

I don't want to do "X ", but if I do "X" the other person will feel bad and this will hurt me more than if I did "X" so I choose to do "X".

On the surface it may appear that you feel you have no choice but that is never the case. Many decisions may seem illogical and inappropriate when you start honoring what feels right for you, but I believe in the long run if you are at peace with your decisions all will be well.

There will always be one choice that you believe to be the least painful. It maybe that others will disagree with your choices but the key is you have to feel it is the one best for you. Make the choices from what feels right in your heart, not what appears to be logical. It may sound obvious but once you start listening to the "shoulds" in life you will muffle the internal guidance you have that points you in the direction of what is best for your own happiness.

Some of you may think that this is a shallow and even selfish way to approach life. But consider this, negative emotions will create negative events and positive emotions will create positive events. It is not within our power to know how the Universe will bring these positive changes into our lives but it is true that sometimes it is more healthy and takes more courage to say no to a "should" than is does to give in to it. When you act from love you know you are acting from the right place. Sometimes the hardest thing is to act with love toward yourself and not surrender to the big "S".

Increase your happiness level and you will be well on your way to enjoying Advanced Success in all areas of your life as what you give your attention to will surely multiple.

Happily

The Carnegie Secret To Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

In his all time best selling book, Think And Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill mentions in his first chapter that throughout the book he will be referring many times to The Carnegie Secret. He said he would not tell you what that secret is, but when you are ready, it will jump off the page and into your brain. He said, When the Student is ready - the master will appear. The doors will open. The lights will turn green. The ideas will come. The money will come. The people will be there to help you.

Since 1970 we have been teaching the principles of success that Andrew Carnegie commissioned Napoleon Hill to study and share with the world. Napoleon Hill spent his entire lifetime researching the most successful people of all times from around the world.

Many, many times in our classes, workshops, talks, rallies and in our Master Mind Alliance Success Club meetings we have asked this question to those in our audience who had read the book Think and Grow Rich,

What is The Carnegie Secret that Napoleon Hill referred to in his book?

We got all kinds of guesses and some answers that were somewhat close.

HERE IS ------- THE CARNEGIE SECRET

1. Have A Definite Major Purpose.

What is the most important thing you would like to accomplish in your lifetime? Try to define it in one paragraph, even if you have to keep rewriting it a hundred times until it gets as clear as possible. It has to be the most important thing in your life. Mahatma Gandhi's definite major purpose was to win independence for India from their British rulers. He succeeded. Dr. Martin Luther King's was equality and the end of oppression for black people. Doctor Jonas Salk's was to find the cure and end for polio. Thomas Edison's was the incandescent light bulb. What is yours?

If you don't currently have what you feel is a definite major purpose, then have a definite major purpose to find your definite major purpose.

It has to be something you want so bad that you think about it all of the time.

2. Be Willing To Stake Your Entire Existence On Achieving It.

Don't Quit. There Are Many Starters In Life, But Very Few Finishers - When The Going Gets Tough They Quit. A person with a definite major purpose never gives up - no matter how long and tough the road is; instead, they become more determined. Jack London was rejected over 600 times before he finally sold his first piece of writing. Thomas Edison actually failed over 9,999 times before he perfected the incandescent light bulb, and over 5,000 times before he perfected the world's first phonograph record player. There will be times when everything in you will tell you to quit - to stop trying, but if you hang in there, eventually, you will - you must succeed. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Persistence is the power to hold on in spite of everything - to endure. It's the ability to face defeat repeatedly without giving up--to push on even in the face of great difficulty or danger. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that is necessary to reach your goals. You win, because you refuse to become discouraged by your defeats. Those who conquer are those who endure.

3. Keep Intensifying Your Desire.

There are many "firemen" in life that will come along and try to put your fire of desire out. They will give you all kinds of reasons why your idea or goal won't work and tell you to give it up, forget it, or tell you "You can't do it." You have to become an Arsonist. An arsonist sets fires. Every morning when you wake up you have to re-light and re-build the intensity of your fire of desire. You have to eat it, sleep it, walk it, talk it, and concentrate on it until it becomes a red-hot flaming, burning, obsessional desire that will eventually mow down all of the opposition you will face throughout each day. If you don't, your Sizzle of desire will fizzle down to nothing. I'm not suggesting that you stop talking to or seeing your family and friends - what I'm saying is to keep focused day and night, seven days a week. This will bring into play: THE LAW OF HARMONIOUS ATTRACTION. Your burning desire becomes a magnet. You will attract that which you need; the ideas and plans, the money you need, and the people you need to help you. They will eventually gravitate toward your desire.

4. Have Bulldog Determination And Perseverance That Will Eventually Mow Down All Opposition.

Expect lots of problems, adversities, and discouragement along the way. Go around it - go over it - go under it - or dig a hole through it - but don't ever turn back. Make your Definite Major Purpose the dominating thought in your mind. It is a known fact that people who have had great achievement - formed the habit of making an "obsession" of their Definite Major Purpose. Andrew Carnegie said to put all of your eggs in one basket and then watch the basket. Andrew Carnegie's definite major purpose, which he wrote down at an early age and kept in his desk, was to earn as much money as he can in life and then, in the end, to set up the Carnegie Foundation to give it all away to worthy causes. Even after his death long ago, the Carnegie Foundation is still giving away millions every year to help mankind.

I have been teaching The Science of Success Achievement Course since 1970. There were many times when I taught the course to as many as ten different groups per week. Some in major hotels, some in large corporate training rooms, in the YMCA, in hundreds of real estate and insurance offices, in prisons, rehab centers, and for many sales and marketing groups of people.

In all of my classes, (There were ten separate 4-hour classes to the course,) I always told my students at the end of the first class - "For your homework this week, I want you to read the first four chapters of Think And Grow Rich (I always had stacks of the book there to sell them.) As you read each page, write a list of all of the things the author is telling you to do and the things he is telling you not to do. Then, I want you to carry that list with you every day and keep reviewing your list and keep doing the things the author told you to do. And then come back to class #2 next week and tell the class about the list you made, what actions you took as a result of reading the book, and what results you got."

At the beginning of the class on the following week I would always start out by asking - By a show of hands, how many of you read the first four chapters of Think And Grow Rich? About 2% would raise their hands. The rest didn't take the time to read it. Then I would ask the 2% How many of you read the first four chapters and made the list I told you to make of all of the things the author told you to do? Usually about three hands went up. I asked each of them - How many items do you have on your list of the things the author told you to do? The first person said three. The second person said nine. The third person said - 90 items

I asked the person who had ninety on her list to come to the front of the classroom.

I said to the others - You people paid good money to take this course because you wanted to achieve greater success. How can you expect the results you hoped for if you aren't willing to take notes and to put in practice what you are learning?

Then I had the lady read from her list of 90 items. And the class was surprised at how powerful and important the things on her list were.

I asked the class - How many of you are speed reader? All kinds of hands went up. Then I told them about an incident when I was at a party and someone asked me what I do for a living. I told him that I teach a course based around the book Think And Grow Rich. He said, "That's a book that we teach from at our speed reading school." Then I asked him, "What were the greatest lessons you learned from the book?" He tried to think and then said, "I don't remember that book so well." I later found out that he was a speed-reading instructor. I thought to myself - There's a guy that can read 10,000 words a minute and remember nothing.

Think And Grow Rich is so powerful that it's the kind of book you have to read very slowly and carefully, many times until it becomes a part of your life and habits. I have been reading the book every year since 1970. Each year I pull it back off the shelf and let it fire me up for the achievement of my new goals for the year.

Think and Grow Rich Secret: Desire

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Desire means knowing what you want, and is the first principle of success in "Think and Grow Rich". You need to focus your attention and your minds energy like a laser beam onto what you desire the most, and the universe will respond in kind, with people, opportunities and seemingly random events that allow you to bring your desire to fruition-you just have to pay attention and catch it when it happens.

Here is where I'd like to make a clarification, or a caveat on what Hill is saying. Throughout this chapter, and the book, the desire for money is held up as being the most important thing, to the point of necessary obsession. And while I think that this is necessary, you must not lose sight of the reason why you want the money. If your intentions are good and pure, God and the universe will make this work for you, giving you what resources you need and want in such abundance, that all you can do is share them with others.

If your intentions are greed and avarice, you will get only the money, if that, and none of the happiness that it brings, and your life will remain empty. Money is not the ultimate goal, but merely a tool for achieving your ultimate goal...your definite major purpose. Think of money as fuel for driving your definite major purpose, be that with providing for your needs so you can pursue your purpose, or if your purpose requires a lot of capital to execute.

Also, merely wishing, hoping, or halfheartedly praying will not bring you riches, but merely diffuse your working energy into a thousand directions, reducing its impact. You have to have the desire, and your mind will work out a plan to achieve it through setting goals, and achieving these goals one at a time, ceaselessly, until you succeed.

Hill's formula for success is 6 parts, and this is very, very important, so don't skip this step:

1. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire.
2. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire.
3. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
4. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
5. Write out a clear, concise statement of steps 1-4.
6. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning. As you read, see, feel, and believe yourself already in possession of the money.

At the end of the chapter, Hill describes a real world occurrence of success in his own son, who was born without ears. Hill desired to teach the boy to succeed none-the-less, and did, and filled the boy's heart with desire to succeed himself, and to hear. Eventually he did both, never believing that it wasn't possible. Thanks to the invention of a new type of hearing aid, and the boy's intelligence, he became a major success in life, and fulfilled his definite major purpose of helping others who could not hear to hear.

So with that inspiring story, I'm left wondering what my excuse has been this whole time, and I ask you, what is your excuse? We should use this example as fuel to get off our butts and do something important in our lives...not just for ourselves, but for others too.

Success Secret - Learning How to Relax

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Allowing stress and worry to occupy your mind prevents you from enjoying your success. If your mind is always racing or you are always working you can not enjoy your success. There is one thing that will help you succeed and enjoy your successes more.

What is this success secret?

A key that many successful people know is knowing how to relax. While it may seem simple, it is hard for many people to relax. It is not a matter of just avoiding work but actually learning how to relax.

Why is relaxing key to success?

Stress and worry can easily fill your mind not allowing you to think of solutions that can help you succeed. Learning to relax frees your mind and allows you to enjoy the fruits of your happy occurrences. The panic or obsession with success actually drives it away.

How can I learn to relax?

Relaxing requires a commitment on your part. There are many ways to relax, yet each method requires that enjoy the process and be part of it. If you choose breathing exercises commit to breathing and focusing on the exercise. Soaking in a bath, requires enjoying it without worrying about other things. Enjoying the moment is what will help you relax and help you succeed.

What can I do to relax?

Everyone has different ways of relaxing. What might be relaxing for one person may not be for another. So while one person may consider fishing relaxing another may not. You may prefer music or you may prefer quiet. There is a benefit to both music and quiet, constant noise is not good. Sit in the quiet and focus on your breathing. This is a great technique. A journal is a great way to write down your thoughts which can help you relax. Spend time with those who help you feel relaxed.

How do I enjoy the moment?

When stress, worry or other things come to mind, change your focus. Think about things you enjoy. When you relax instead of thinking about all the things you need to do, you think happier thoughts. You think about friends and family and why you love them. You are better able to sleep and communicate with others and succeed in all areas of life.

When do I need to relax?

Consider your success depending on your ability to relax regularly. The key is relaxing not avoiding work but to take a relaxing break. Mentally and emotionally you will feel calmer and better able to handle pressures, all of these things can help you. These will allow you to get back to focusing on your success and what you need.

The Secret to Success Is That There Is No Secret to Success

Posted by on | | 0 comments

Most of us grow up believing that the rich and successful must have some secret formula which gives them an edge. There must be some secret "they" know that we do not. Authors and information sellers make small fortunes every year selling these "secrets" of success. Here is the truth: there is no secret to success.

Why do people say there is a secret to success?

Marketers like to refer to information about success as a secret because it catches people's attention. Everyone wants to know the secret, whatever it might be. And people sure want to know the secret to success.

A good example of that was the video and book published a few years back called The Secret. Of course nothing in that book or video was truly a secret. It was all content that had been published in books in general circulation in the past. However by marketing this information as a secret they drew great attention to themselves and increased sales of the materials.

There is another reason people want to believe in a secret to success. We all want to believe we are reasonably capable and intelligent people. As such we certainly ought to be successful unless of course there is a secret that they are not telling us. That seems to be the only way they can be successful and we are not.

The Study of Success

Many have wondered, as have I, what makes some people successful and others not. Some of these people have engaged in a serious study over a long period and compiled lists of the common characteristics of successful people. The American father of this kind of literature was Benjamin Franklin who published such characteristics in his Poor Richard's Almanac. In the 19th Century a number of authors including Horatio Alger, Wallace D. Wattles, Orison Swett Marden and Napoleon Hill wrote on this subject. Hill probably was best known for this lifetime study of the subject and his many books on it.

In the 20th century a number of new authors tackled the subject including Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, and Dr. Stephen Covey. Covey wrote his doctorate on the subject and studied a large body of literature on it. He later published these findings in his best seller, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Clues, not Secrets

What all these researchers and writers found was that success leaves clues. If you study what successful people do, and equally importantly, what they do not do, you will learn what make success.

There are two excellent ways to learn what makes people successful. First, do what all the success writers have done, study successful people directly. Observe them and learn from them. Many successful people are happy to share their success "secrets" with others and even mentor you.

A second way is to read about successful people. The more you read about the many ways that successful people have attained success the more you will learn about these clues to success.

Of course it is not enough to simply learn what makes success happen. You must apply what you learn in a disciplined and continuous manner. While this seems relatively simple it is not easy. It involves continuous self discipline, something that most people are not fond of doing. Success comes from careful planning, disciplined application of what you know, and adjusting your plans in light of what you learn through experience, a willingness to take calculated risks, a willingness to work very hard and to be very persistent. These are the chief characteristics of successful people. You will learn additional ones by studying the successful, but you will not find any secrets - because there are no secrets.
